Biography

Long Chen is a second-year Master student at Networked Robotics and Systems Lab , School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation in Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen, advised by Prof. Hao-Yao Chen. His major is Pattern Recognition and Intelligent System. He is very interested in robotics, artificial intelligence, control systems engineering.

Before that, He received the B. Eng degree in Automation (Information Engineering) from Automation College in Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2019.

     Topic 1: Research on Target Grasp Using Aerial Manipulator based on DL

  • Propose an efficient deep learning network to identify the category and detect the precise location of specific object.
  • Design Image-Based Visual Servo(IBVS) controller to grasp objects in the clutter and complete the round-trip flight. Perform experiments to verify the performance when confronted with complex dynamic scenarios.

     Topic 3: An Efficient Genetic Algorithm for Active Space Debris Removal Planning

  • Model the debris planning problem as an multiple traveler salesman problem (MTSP).
  • Propose a novel MTSP algorithm based on GA and design a new crossover-mutation strategy, to reduce the weighted sum of energy and time in one mission.
  • The final global optimum is obtained by traversing all the sub-populations.

     Topic 4: SAR Image Change Detection based on Deep Learning

  • Represent a scheme using neighborhood information and bilateral filter to improve the performance of SAR image change detection based on Difference Image(DI) analysis.
  • Design a deep belief network to generate change detection map directly from two SAR images.

  • Formulate routing and scheduling of UAV delivery problem as Dynamic Mixed Integer Linear Programming(MILP) model. Take various constraints into consideration.
  • Verify the effectiveness of the path planning-aiding system by computational experiments with a commercial linear problem solver Gurobi.
